Affordable Developments

Our financing solutions help municipalities and other organizations throughout the state provide affordable housing options in our communities.

Homeownership

Idaho Housing provides unique loan products that help homebuyers achieve sustainable homeownership, including low mortgage rates, down payment and closing cost assistance, homebuyer tax credits, Finally Home! Homebuyer Education, and HUD-approved housing counseling.

Homelessness

Idaho Housing and Finance supports a comprehensive and coordinated crisis response system that includes emergency shelters, transitional housing, rapid re-housing, and permanent supportive housing.

COVID-19 Response

Idaho Housing and Finance is working to keep renters and homeowners in their homes during the pandemic. From our Housing Preservation Program for those struggling to pay rent and utilities to our Homeowner Assistance Fund for those who have fallen behind on their mortgage, we are here to help.

Project Financing

Idaho Housing and Finance is working to help small businesses grow in our state. How our Collateral Support Program can save them money while providing them the financing they need.

Transportation Funding

Since 2006, Idaho Housing and Finance has issued tax-exempt bonds to finance road improvements throughout Idaho. Working with the Idaho Transportation Department, our funding solutions save Idahoans time, keep us safe and boost commerce.

Community Investment

Idaho Housing and Finance invests in more than just housing. We use our financial expertise to help public charter schools gain access to affordable financing so they can invest in their students and facilities without being overburdened by debt payments.

IHFA Impact

Idaho Housing invested more than $1.9 billion dollars in rental housing, economic development, rental assistance, homeless services, and grants in 2023.
